The quantity of heroin was seized from the truck driver Leonard Tosniku at the Turkish-Greek border By AURORA KOROMANI A businessman from Fier is arrested, accused of trafficking narcotic substances. The anti-drug unit of the State Police, in cooperation with the Serious Crimes Prosecutor’s Office and the Fier Police, arrested yesterday the 33-year-old Orvel Hebeja. According to the prosecution, in January this year he attempted to smuggle into Albania from Turkey a quantity of 59 kilograms of the narcotic substance heroin, which was discovered hidden in a truck driven by an Albanian in the Turkish-Greek border area, in the city of Ipsik. On 15 January 2014, Turkish police arrested Leonard Tosniku, who was found to be transporting the truck with Tirana license plates 9214 T, with which the narcotic substance was to be transported to our country. The driver’s arrest was made at the Turkish-Greek border. But, at that time, the truck driver had stated that he had nothing to do with the narcotic substance and that he had no knowledge that in the truck... On page 8
