The Socialist MP, Ben Blushi, has openly denounced the disregard for the statute of the Socialist Party, implying the failure to hold elections for the party chairman, because Edi Rama’s mandate expired last September. Invited yesterday on the program Debati on Channel One by journalist Roland Qafoku, he declared that the party base and forums demand compliance with the statute to the letter. Article 30, point 2 of the PS statute explicitly states that “the party chairman’s mandate is 4 years.” Meanwhile, article 29, point 1 states that “the PS Presidency meets no less than once a month.”
