Fully engaged in the latest events in Ukraine, the High Commissioner for Enlargement of the European Union, Stefan Füle, who is expected to visit Tirana on March 6, says in an exclusive interview for “Gazeta Shqiptare” that only sustainable reforms will lead the country toward obtaining candidate status in June 2014. But for these reforms to be successful, according to him, they need the spirit of dialogue and compromise between the political parties. Füle calls for the fight against corruption to continue, highlighting as important the ongoing proactive tendency for investigation and criminal prosecution. In this interview, there is no comment from the European commissioner regarding the strong accusations that former prime minister Sali Berisha made against him two days earlier, because the questions from “GSH” were addressed to Füle about a week earlier.
