By DARINA TANUSHI One of the longest-serving MPs in the Parliament of Albania, the Socialist Namik Dokle, advised his friends yesterday not to get involved in politics. Referring to the comments people have made in recent days, Dokle says: “I have read you carefully, my critics and well-wishers. I have felt pleasure and learned many new things. But may I give you one piece of advice? Don’t get too ‘entangled’ with politics.” And further on, Dokle explains: “By saying this I also reach a conclusion: after 50 or more years, in one of our schools, a teacher will ask the pupils: ‘Tell me, who were Fatos Nano, Sali Berisha, Edi Rama...’ The class falls silent, no one knows the answer. From the back, the most informed one stands up and says: ‘Teacher, weren’t they some politicians who lived in the time of Kadare and Agolli?’ Who among us remembers the names of the politicians from the time of Naim Frashëri or Fishta?”, Dokle says in this comment.
