The new law on “social insurance”, which enters into force on 1 January 2015, provides for an increase in benefits for those who request a postponement of the retirement date. This applies to all those who meet the age and years-of-service requirements for an old-age pension, but who ask for the retirement date to be delayed. According to the new law, any insured person who has met these conditions will receive an additional 0.5 percent of the pension for each month they postpone retirement and continue to pay contributions.
