While the Democratic Party still refuses to take its seats on the parliamentary committee for this reform, Minister of State Bledi Çuçi proposed yesterday that work begin with a hearing session in this committee. But, unlike him, MP Bashkim Fino was more categorical that this reform cannot be done by only one party. The Minister of State for Local Government Issues, Bledi Çuçi, after an informal meeting with ambassadors on the issue of territorial reform, stressed that this reform must be carried out even if the Democratic Party does not participate. Minister Çuçi said: “It is an open issue. We are determined to have the opposition as part of the process, but if the opposition chooses to isolate itself and boycott political processes, that is its choice.
