The new pension scheme, which is expected to enter into force on 1 January 2015, provides changes for those who want to receive an old-age pension without reaching the age and seniority required under the new law. Thus, according to the amendments made to the law “On social insurance in the Republic of Albania,” insured persons acquire the right to receive a reduced old-age pension up to three years before reaching the retirement age.
