In an interview for “Voice of America” after the meeting with representatives of the IMF and the World Bank, Minister of Finance Shkëlqim Cani confirmed once again yesterday that the discussions also included reform of the energy system. As for the price of electricity, the head of Albanian finance assured that the removal of the 300 kV bracket will not increase the price of electricity for consumers; on the contrary, it will put an end to theft and speculation with electricity.
