Justice should clarify what is happening with my son.” These are the words of Ardian Bitraj’s mother, who is not very keen to speak with the journalist about the truth of her son’s story, as he is suspected of being the key figure in the theft of 713 million lek at the Bank of Albania. In a short account for “Gazeta Shqiptare”, Ardian’s mother says that her son is accused of money also being found at his home, which according to her is not true. In addition to these accusations, Ardian’s family members are not allowed to visit him in cell 302 prison in the capital. “They do not allow us to see him. That is what the prosecution has decided,” explains the mother of the former bank employee.
