So far, $160 million in arrears have been unblocked By LORENC RABETA The Ministry of Finance has begun publishing all VAT that had not been reimbursed over the years up to 31 December 2013. On its official website, the ministry has published the list of 445 entities that will be reimbursed for their Value Added Tax invoices. What stands out in the list of entities is that the largest number of them belongs to last year, while there are also entities among those to which the state has been in debt since 2007. The ministry specifies on its site that “the list of entities for reimbursement of outstanding VAT has been approved in Decision No. 3, dated 18.03.2014 by the Committee for Outstanding Obligations.” So far, this department has unblocked around $160 million in arrears in the public investment, VAT reimbursement and energy sectors.
