They sent the girl back home after two weeks of marriage; the 50-year-old man originally from Mirdita kills the in-law and seriously injures the groom. The serious incident took place yesterday afternoon, in the area of the former swamp in Durrës. Official sources from the Durrës County Police Directorate said that the separation of the two young people had sharply pitted the Ndoj and Hoxha families against each other. Disturbed by his daughter being brought back “to the door”, Anton Ndoj stabbed 52-year-old Përparim Hoxha to death. But the revenge in the name of the Kanun did not end there, as the father of the 19-year-old also shot the 24-year-old with a shotgun in the yard of his home. A passerby was also injured in the incident. This is Nurije Shahini. The blue-uniformed officers immediately arrested the perpetrator, who is accused of “Intentional murder”, “Attempted intentional murder”, and “Possession of a hunting weapon without a permit”.
