Albanian activist: The police took me away, I will remove the Greek flag on our land By XHEMIL BEHARAJ The Greek ambassador in Tirana, Leonidas Rokanas, remained “locked up” for almost an hour in the Fier Municipality building. Avoiding a possible incident by the head of the Patriotic Association for Unity and National Identity, Kristaq Ziu, with the diplomat of the neighboring country and his staff forced the Public Order Police and the Municipal Police to take measures. Only after Ziu was forcibly removed was it possible to raise the Greek flag in “Europa Piazza” square on the occasion of Greece’s national holiday. But despite the measures taken by the police, after the flag-raising ceremony, Rokanas was attacked with eggs. Last night, the police escorted Kristaq Ziu, who is a well-known figure in Fier for his anti-Greek activities.
