Motive remains a mystery By KLODIANA HAXHIAJ Well-known businessman from Durrës Ilir Hoxha is seriously wounded in an assassination attempt. The 42-year-old was hit by a burst of Kalashnikov fire near his home. Official sources from the Durrës County Police Directorate said the serious incident happened last night at the place known as “4 roads of Shijak”, near the Hoxha family home. The assassination attempt on the father of two children has alarmed the police. Large police forces have “sealed off” Shijak and are searching for the perpetrators of the crime. Meanwhile, sources close to the investigative team claim that Ilir Hoxha was known as a troublesome person and was listed for drug trafficking. According to the investigators, several leads are being pursued to fully clarify the circumstances of this event.
