TAHIRI, LETTER TO NISHANI

THE INTERIOR MINISTER: IF THEY HAD NOT RELEASED HIM, HE WOULD BE ALIVE “Nika’s killing, punishment for the judges” Mafia attack on two young men, 27 detained. Relatives of Fabio Xhunga: He left behind 3 children, the twins had just turned 2 weeks old. He met Gjin Nika in the mosque By AURORA KOROMANI The Minister of the Interior, Saimir Tahiri, sends once again a letter to the country’s president, Bujar Nishani, in his capacity as chairman of the Supreme Council of Justice. In this letter the minister has expressed his concern about the consequences caused by some court decisions, which, according to the minister, if not absurd, carry with them a high degree of irresponsi- bility. The minister’s reaction Tahiri comes after the event of three days earlier, when two citizens were executed, one of whom had serious criminal precedents and had been released from prison by a court decision some time earlier. “Court of Appeals judges in the composition of the panel Edmond Gogo, Fatmira Hajdari and Gramoz Levanaj, by decision no. 215, dated 25.02.2014, changed the security measure, from ‘arrest in prison’ to ‘obliga- tion to appear’ before the Ju- dicial Police” for the defen- dant Gjin Nika, born on 28.04.1978, from Bulqiza, accused of criminal offenses.
