The Ministry: We have applied the law By KLODIANA LALA The Prosecutor General, Adriatik Llalla, speaks out against the Minister of Justice, Nasip Naço, over inspections of prosecutors. In a letter sent to the Chair of the Committee on Legal Affairs, Public Administration and Human Rights, Mr. Fatmir Xhafaj, the head of the central prosecution body stresses that the inspection carried out by the Ministry goes beyond the powers set out in the law on the organization and functioning of the prosecution. “Regarding this inspection report and the conclusions reached, as we have also made clear to the Ministry of Justice, and for information to the President of the Republic, in our response to these conclusions we have expressed and continue to express our position that the inspection carried out by the Ministry of Justice goes beyond the powers that Article 56 of Law no. 8737, dated 12.02.2001, ‘On the organization and functioning of the prosecution in the Republic of ...
