The former MP and former minister in socialist governments, Arben Malaj, in an interview for “Gazeta Shqiptare” expresses the need to implement the party statute. When asked about the accusations that Socialist MP Ben Blushi has levelled against Edi Rama over the lack of collegiality in the party and the failure to hold elections for the party chairman, Malaj stresses that “the solution to the situation created in the PS, where the statute is its constitution, requires that it not be sidelined, not be dragged out and even less that any debate be ‘suppressed’”.
Mr. Malaj, after almost 8 months since the new government came to power, how do you assess the country’s economic performance?
The main challenge facing our country is economic growth that brings employment. Employment is what Albanians need most today, more than at any other time; employment is the best way to fight poverty. For the branches of PDSH
In function of new memberships and their registration in the PDSH membership Register in the branches, the following procedures are applied:
The organization of the structures of the Democratic Party throughout Tirana, the intensification of its opposition political activity in all territories of this branch, constitutes a special task. The political legitimacy of PD in Tirana is also linked to regaining the trust and membership of democrats in PD and strengthening its role as a future governing alternative for the entire process during the mandate.
For this reason, based on Article 12, points 10 and 16 of the PDSH Statute, as well as the PDSH Statute and the relevant Regulation, the PDSH Secretariat and the Branch Chairman are charged and authorized to appoint 16 people as Coordinators for the Tirana branch, to assist in the membership registration process during the verification and re-evaluation period.
1. By 7 June 2014 the process of membership of the structure of all branches of the County must be completed.
2. The number[?] of the section to create section branches in each centre where there is a polling station.[?]
3. The central structures should take measures to verify the data and forms and the new memberships should be carefully registered and submitted within the relevant deadlines.
4. Each form must undergo the verification process of the archive structure of the PDSH Central Headquarters.
This directive enters into force immediately.
