Odeta Nishani: Let justice speak By AURORA KOROMANI The list of people mentioned as being involved in the scandal of the theft of 713 million lekë at the Bank of Albania has been joined by the name of Ibrahim Shehaj, father of the Tax Directorate chief, Briseida Shehaj. It was former prime minister Sali Berisha who, during the program “Studio e Hapur” on “News24”, mentioned Shehaj's name as the person responsible for security in the Issuance Department, where the money was stolen. Contacted by “Gazeta Shqiptare”, the father of the Tax Directorate chief responded to the former prime minister, also clarifying his position at the BoA. He described the former head of government as a criminal and called his accusations a weapon used by Berisha to strike at the Tax Directorate chief. Mr. Shehaj, your name was mentioned by former prime minister Sali Berisha as the person responsible for security in the Issuance Department where 713 million lekë were stolen.
