Education, prefectures and taxes, the “damage” is 4 million USD By LORENC RABETA Just last week, the Ministry of Finance executed more than 400 court rulings in favor of those dismissed from work, with a value of more than 400 million lekë (more than 4 million dollars). “Gazeta Shqiptare” publishes the names of the 400 employees dismissed from work whose compensation awarded by the court has been transferred into their bank accounts. The vast majority of the employees whose payments have been executed on the basis of court decisions belong to 2014, but there are also some who were dismissed by the previous government, and some payments go back as far as 2007. Last week too, the government settled more than 250 court rulings in favor of those dismissed from work. For its part, the Democratic Party claims that, upon taking office, the left-wing PS-LSI majority dismissed around 7,000 administration employees.
