The officers of the Republic Guard, with the new structure that will soon be approved in Parliament, become part of the State Police. All 1,283 Guard employees will benefit from a salary increase. This is provided for in the new State Police Law, which was approved by the government some time ago. In the table attached to this law, it is specified that there will be 1,283 Guard employees who will be “transferred” under the authority of the State Police. But this transfer will undoubtedly be accompanied by financial changes, which are provided for in Article 21 of the new police law. Referring to this law, there will be 1,010 Guard employees in the basic role, who will be transferred to the State Police, undergoing a salary increase. Thus, if the average salary of the Guard’s basic officers has been 58,175 lekë, after being transferred to the State Police, this salary will become 82,815 lekë.
