Here are the firms to be handed over to private ownership in the next 2 years By LORENC RABETA In 2014, the Albanian government intends to complete the process of selling 20 companies owned by the state, as well as the shareholdings of the company “Albtelekom”. The data on the planning of this privatization and this massive sale have been made public by the government in the “National European Integration Plan, 2014–2020”. “The privatization process remains a priority, especially in strategic sectors, aimed at attracting foreign and domestic capital and having a positive impact on economic development. The inventory of public property has been verified and will soon be put online, in order to improve management, transparency and the fight against corruption,” writes the Council of Ministers in the document published in the Official Gazette.
