For 2014, the government allocated 1.3 billion lek for the compensation process By LORENC RABETA Last year, the Property Restitution and Compensation Agency failed to fully distribute the 16 million dollar fund in favor of owners affected by informal construction. According to AKKP’s report to the Ministry of Justice, during 2013 only 1.1 billion lek (about 11 million dollars) out of 1.6 billion (about 16 million dollars) earmarked for this purpose in the state budget were distributed. The data come through AKKP’s 2013 monitoring report, which analyzes the expenditure items of the Property Restitution and Compensation Agency as well as a series of other indicators. 19 billion lek The total amount that the Property Restitution and Compensation Agency would have at its disposal for 2013 was 1.9 billion lek, approximately 19 million dollars.
