On the contrary, he says, there are drastic reductions in prices in areas where land is more expensive, such as the center of the capital. Meanwhile, there is a significant increase in land values in areas with a higher density of informal construction. In an interview with “Gazeta Shqiptare”, the former head of AKKP highlights two deceptive trends of the government. The first is the reduction in land value, which significantly lessens the government’s burden toward former owners for compensation. And there is an increase in value in areas with informal buildings, such as in the Kamëz area, which will lead to higher amounts that citizens will pay for the legalization process.
