Work on building the large mosque in the Namazgjasë square will begin within the month of November. This was the good news Prime Minister Edi Rama gave to Muslim believers on the day of Kurban Bajram.
“Two things have been done on this Bajram: to give the Bektashi community the opportunity to finally work on this tekke. Baba Reshati had this on his heart, as a bequest. And for the Muslim Community to have the new mosque. Now there is nothing left but to finish it and enjoy it,” the prime minister declared during a visit to the World Bektashi Headquarters. The construction of the mosque is made possible by the expropriation of the owners by the government, since their land is affected by the project for this religious building.
