The Prime Minister, Edi Rama, in an interview given to the prestigious German newspaper “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung”, stated that Chancellor Angela Merkel played an irreplaceable role in overcoming the deadlock that had arisen with Serbia regarding the previously scheduled meeting between him and his Serbian counterpart, Aleksandar Vučić. On Wednesday, Belgrade was to be visited for the first time in 68 years by an Albanian Prime Minister. On Sunday, the visit was postponed for 10 minutes. Do you understand/see this as a refusal? Setting the date for the 10th was a joint decision after a long phone call we had. The fact that the visit will take place around three weeks later than the previously set date does not indicate refusal, but difficulty and the will to overcome the difficulties.
