The Democrats now have the new Secretary General, Arben Ristani, the two deputy chairmen Edi Paloka and Edmond Spaho, 22 department heads and 6 new secretaries. What sparked interest in this race was the post of Secretary General of the PD. Eduard Selami, Enkeljed Alibeaj and Arben Ristani ran for this post, with the latter emerging as the winner. The National Council of the PD entrusted its vote to Arben Ristani for Secretary General of this party. Out of the 279 members counted by the council, only 266 took part in the vote, of which 3 ballots were invalid, while 1 ballot was missing.
