The Ambassador of the United States of America, Aleksandër Arvizu, declared yesterday that he hopes “the boycott by the Democratic Party will end as soon as possible and that this party will return to Parliament.” Arvizu made this statement last night, while invited to the TED-x Tirana event, on violence against women. Asked by journalists about the meeting he also had yesterday with the President of the Republic, Bujar Nishani, Arvizu described the meeting as routine. “We meet very often about different things that are of mutual interest, and today’s (yesterday’s) meeting is in that category,” said the American ambassador.
