Since the beginning of November, the government decided to forgive the late-payment interest on social insurance contributions for self-employed people in agriculture, while public attention following the approval of the decision led the Minister of Social Welfare and Youth, Erion Veliaj, to say that emigrants can also benefit from it. In the same way, the final period was specifically settled, which is known for their entitlement in connection with the holidays. However, not all emigrants can benefit from this decision, only some of them. Representatives of the Ministry of Social Welfare and Youth explained to “Gazeta Shqiptare” that only those emigrants who have been self-employed in agriculture can benefit from the amnesty on late-payment interest, and the rest as well. “The other emigrants are not classified in any specific category and therefore cannot benefit from the waiver of late-payment interest.
