Those who used to pay for 300 kWh/hour will pay 650 lekë more from 1 January 2015 By LORENC RABETA ERE has officially decided to abolish the two-tier system for household consumers as well, setting a fixed tariff of 9.5 lekë per kWh of consumption. Currently the tariffs are 7.7 lekë for consumers below 300 kilowatts and 13.5 lekë for those above 300 kilowatts. At the end of the meeting, which lasted more than two hours, the Energy Regulatory Entity also decided that small businesses will pay 11 lekë per kWh, while medium-sized ones will pay 14 lekë per kWh. For bakeries, the price remains unchanged at 7.1 lekë per kWh. ERE has also decided to raise the production price to 1.45 lekë. Meanwhile, the average energy price for OSHEE will be 10.7 lekë per kWh. During the meeting, ERE also decided to keep unchanged the transmission tariff for OST. OST had previously requested an increase in the transmission price to 0.71 lekë. “Today’s decision by ERE determines that the price for household consumers will start from 1 January 2015...
