And based on this model, the candidates for mayors and commune chairpersons will then be determined. The Minister of State for Local Government, Bledi Çuçi, explained yesterday in an exclusive interview for “Gazeta Shqiptare” that “the legal package must be sent to Parliament for approval before the end of this parliamentary session”. He said that the majority wants the opposition to be part of this process, but “an ambiguous and incoherent stance from the opposition is seen, contrary to its public statements,” the minister said.
