The Minister of Environment fines Flamur Bima, Adelina Farrici and Dash Aliko 50,000 lek each By OLA MITRE The Ministry of Environment has fined 137 mayors and municipal leaders because they have not taken any measures for the collection, removal and processing of waste. According to the inspection carried out by the State Inspectorate of Environment, Forests and Waters across the country, it turned out that some leaders of local units had committed violations and taken measures for integrated waste management, but many other municipalities and communes had not taken any measures to implement the law. For this reason, the leaders of these units were held directly responsible, penalized with fines amounting to 500,000 lek. Meanwhile, “Gazeta Shqiptare” publishes in full the list of the heads of local units who were fined, as well as those leaders who received a warning or additional duties.
