Gërveni “promoted himself” to the rank of ADMIRAL and, during bilateral meetings at NATO, he wore on his military uniform the insignia of the higher rank, which legally did not belong to him. By decree of President Bamir Topi, the former military attaché, Gërveni, had been promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral, but despite this, in violation of the law, he wore a higher rank, that of ‘Admiral’. The scandal was denounced by “GSH”, which also published photos showing Gërveni using the rank of Admiral in bilateral and high-level meetings. After the publication by “GSH”, the Ministry of Defense filed a complaint with the prosecutor’s office against the former serviceman Gërveni. According to the law, he faces a fine of up to 2 years in prison… On page 9
