Education, prefecture and tax offices, the “damage” 4 million USD By LORENC RABETA Just last week, the Ministry of Finance executed more than 400 court decisions in favor of those dismissed from work, with a value of more than 400 million lekë (more than 4 million dollars). “Gazeta Shqiptare” publishes the names of the 400 dismissed workers whose compensation amounts recognized by the court have been transferred into their bank accounts. The vast majority of the employees whose payments have been executed on the basis of court decisions belong to 2014, but there are also those who were dismissed by the previous government, and some payments date back to 2007. Last week too, the government paid more than 250 court decisions in favor of those dismissed from work. For its part, the Democratic Party claims that, upon taking office, the left-wing PS-LSI majority dismissed around 7,000 public administration employees.
