The government must take urgent measures By OLA MITRE For one year, the Albanian state has had no agreement with the Greek state regarding the transboundary waters of the Vjosa River. The last memorandum signed between the two states was valid until April 3, 2013, and after that date it has not been renewed. According to environmentalist Sazan Guri, under these conditions we have no information whatsoever about what the Greek state does with the river’s water sources, and this “is unforgivable for the Albanian state.” Meanwhile, in this interview given to “Gazeta Shqiptare”, Guri explains in detail what has happened so far with the Greek-Albanian agreements, while appealing to the government to intervene immediately to renew the agreement.
