The scandal involving the medicine reimbursement fraud scheme continues to deepen. After the investigation began in May of this year and the arrest of 11 people in June, the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office has also ordered the detention of 12 citizens, including the owner of a pharmaceutical warehouse, managers of that warehouse, several pharmacists and officials of the Tirana Regional Health Care Fund, suspected of being involved in a large-scale fraud scheme with medicine reimbursements.
