The value of the land will be calculated at half of the market value By ORNELA MANJANI Privatization vouchers will be valid until the end of 2016. The extension of the validity period has also been accompanied by an expansion of the areas in which they can be invested. Payment for the land on informal constructions, concessions for former owners by settling part of the value of these properties in the event of pre-emption, and investments in the privatization of state-owned assets are the main areas in which privatization vouchers can be invested. The Ministry of Finance has prepared a draft, which has been submitted to Parliament for consideration, providing not only for the extension of the deadline but also for the areas of application. The people who have built on state land or on the land of third parties are the biggest beneficiaries of the extension of the period for using the vouchers. Under the new law on legalizations, 50% of the land invoice is to be paid with privatization vouchers when the obligation is settled within the first year.
