The State Advocate officially requests from the prosecutor’s office the amount of the “lost” money By KLODIANA LALA The defendants accused of involvement in the scandal of the theft of 713 million lekë from the State Treasury, after the criminal sentence they face, risk becoming debtors to the state. Banka e Shqipërisë is expected to turn to the Tirana court with a claim for damages, suing precisely the former officials who will be deemed guilty by the justice system. In this process, the central bank will be supported by the State Advocate’s Office, which for several days has begun procedures to investigate the file and gather all information on behalf of Banka e Shqipërisë.
