Nishani: The government did not consult me about Visar Zhiti By FATMIRA NIKOLLI The Catholic Church comes out against Visar Zhiti’s candidacy as Albania’s ambassador to the Vatican. The news is made public by Monsignor George Frendo, auxiliary bishop of the Tiranë-Durrës diocese and secretary general of the Episcopal Conference of the Catholic Church. In an interview with “GAZETA SHQIPTARE”, he sets out the official position of the Catholic Church and the reasons why Zhiti’s name is being opposed.
