Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Speaker of Parliament, Ilir Meta, have agreed on the division of the country’s most important municipalities during the latest negotiations. After many discussions, the two leaders have agreed on the Municipality of Fier, with the candidate to come from the Socialist Party, while LSI will keep the Municipality of Lushnja, with support also from the PS. The head of the LSI parliamentary group, Petrit Vasili, has made it clear that for all 61 municipalities, according to the new territorial reform, there will be one candidate representing the coalition “Alliance for a European Albania”. However, the full arrangement for all 61 municipalities has not yet been completed. Prime Minister Rama and the Speaker of Parliament, Ilir Meta, in their meetings first reached political agreement and discussed the most important municipalities.
