The extension of the validity period has also been accompanied by an expansion of the areas where they can be invested. Payment for the plot of land for informal constructions, a relief for former owners by settling part of the value of these properties in the event of preemption, and investments in the privatization of state-owned objects are the main areas where privatization vouchers can be invested. The Ministry of Finance has prepared a draft, which has reached Parliament for review, where not only the extension of the deadline but also the fields of application are envisaged. People who have built on state land or on land belonging to third parties are the biggest beneficiaries of the extension of the voucher use deadline. The law on re-legalizations provides that 50% of the plot invoice will be paid with privatization vouchers in cases where the obligation is settled within the first year.
