Table of the steps in the changes within the police STRUCTURAL CHANGES First step - restructuring of the building Second step - appointments and changes in the leadership top tier • Every local unit will have a police unit • Depending on the population size, police stations will also be established • Near units with a large population, police stations will be called first-level; in units with medium population they will be called second-level; and in municipalities with small populations, they will be called police stations • The State Police will have 5 directors general and one deputy director • The directors go into the field • Cuts in some structures • Organized crime structures will no longer exist near the district directorates • Staff changes in the Directorate of the Special Operational Force, the Directorate for Economic and Financial Crime, the Directorate for Terrorist Acts and Serious Crimes, and in the cybercrime sector • The Information Technology Directorates, Support Services Units, the Helicopter Unit, as well as the Strategic Studies Directorate • Staff increase in the Directorate for the Protection of Witnesses, justice collaborators and persons with special qualities.
