Kostandin Xhuvani, accused of the massacre at the nightclub “Ante Grand,” escapes life imprisonment. The Tirana Court yesterday accepted the defendant Xhuvani’s request for a shortened trial, although he is charged with a fourfold murder. The judging panel chaired by Sokol Tona said that “the investigation is complete and the case can be resolved in the state in which the records stand.” Apparently, after reviewing the records, the judging panel (Sokol Tona, Arben Mika, Artan Gjerimeni) became convinced that no judicial investigation is necessary, and therefore signed off on accepting the request,...
