Government: Increase for every category

The draft has been approved, it entered into force on 1 June. An increase also for miners and for women who worked in education. The pension rises to as much as 23,600 new lek per month

The Council of Ministers has approved the decision “On narrowing the differences in the amount of pensions,” according to which certain pensioners from the years 1993-1996 will receive an increase, bringing them closer to the others. The increase varies depending on the period when the pension was set, from 1.1.1993 to 31.12.1996, and more specifically is divided into these phases: 1 October to 31 December 1993, 1 January to 30 September 1994, from 1 October 1994 to 30 April 1995, 1 May to 30 September 1995, 1 October 1995 to 31 March 1996, and 1 April to 31 December 1996.
