Three categories benefit from the relief scheme applied by the Distribution Operator of Electricity: pensioners who are heads of household, pensioners, and people with special status, who have benefited in total from 3 billion lek through the reduction of late-payment interest on unpaid electricity. In total, 55,000 pensioners and people with disabilities have so far become part of the scheme and have benefited from reduced interest and low monthly installment payments for overdue bills.
