The Ministry of Finance has determined the amount of compensation for the heirs of those shot during the communist era. The compensation amount for the family members of those sentenced to capital punishment. The relatives of victims who were shot or executed by unjust political punishment, for suffering and persecution, receive financial compensation equal, in total, to the amount corresponding to 8 years of compensation for prison sentences. The right of family members to seek compensation is a personal non-property right.
