The Ministry of Finance has determined the amount of compensation for the heirs of those shot during communism. The compensation amount for the families of those sentenced to capital punishment. The families of the victims who were shot or executed with an unjust political death sentence, for their suffering and persecution, receive financial compensation equal, in total, to 8 years of compensation for imprisonment. The right of family members to seek compensation is a personal non-property right.
