About 95 thousand socialists will go to a referendum on 9 April to answer the question of whether there should be an election for the party chairman or not. After debates between Edi Rama, Ben Blushi, Arta Dade, Fatmir Xhafaj, it was the head of the National Assembly, Gramoz Ruçi, who announced the calling of this referendum and its date, on Saturday 9 April.
