The government is asking Parliament to extend until the end of 2017 the process of issuing ownership titles for agricultural land. The legal deadline for issuing ownership titles for agricultural land expires on June 30 of this year, but the local government units cannot complete this process within the legal timeframe, due to the high number of requests and the new territorial division. Around 18,500 requests for ownership titles are currently under review nationwide. The new municipalities have not managed to complete the process of issuing titles on time...
