“The police take 10 euros per plant or 30% of the yield at the end” Drugs widespread in the South The cultivation and trafficking of narcotics have become a concern for the southern areas of our country, mainly in mountainous and hilly areas, as well as in areas that had not previously been reported as being used by cannabis growers for marijuana cultivation in the mountainous areas of southern Albania. The data point to numerous fields planted with marijuana, especially in the Tepelena highlands. In several operations, the organizers escaped arrest, although large quantities of narcotic plants were seized. According to security analysts, Albania continues to be a country of origin for marijuana cultivation, which year after year generates a chain of criminal effects.
