After the decision of the Constitutional Court, which annulled the staggering fines against businesses, the Ministry of Finance has drawn up an even lower level than the previous penalties, in the latest amendments to the tax procedures law, which after extensive discussions with businesses has taken its final form. For example, failure to issue a receipt now carries a fine of 50 thousand lek (we recall that under the super-fines this measure was set at 500 thousand lek) and in the event of a repeat offense, the activity is suspended for 30 days and in the case of repeated violations, it is considered tax evasion.
