By ORNELA MANJANI Around 4,699 subscribers of the Electricity Distribution Operator will be billed on a flat-rate basis until the end of the year. The Electricity Regulatory Authority has approved the list of subscribers who will be billed on a flat-rate basis and has extended the deadline for equipping these subscribers with meters until the end of the year because the voltage with which the subscribers are supplied is 150 volts, and the operation of the meter is impossible. “Gazeta Shqiptare” publishes today the first part of the list, which will continue tomorrow. Until the meters are installed, family subscribers billed on a flat-rate basis in Tirana will, during the winter period, be charged for 600 kilowatt-hours per month in the city and 400 kilowatt-hours in the village. According to calculations, a family subscriber of OSHEE in Tirana will pay 6,840 lek per month for the electricity bill (VAT is included in the amount), while a resident in the villages of the capital will pay 4,560 lek per month.
